The BCA Indonesia Open event (BIO) Superseries Premier 2017 is a special tourney for the Pelatnas women's doubles. This tournament will be the last assessment of the six-month evaluation program implemented by Eng Hian, the head coach of PBSI women's doubles.

In early 2017, Eng did mention that she has set a number of criteria and targets for national training center's women's doubles to be able to keep staying at Pelatnas Cipayung.

"The Indonesia Open will be a six month evaluation in the women's doubles, especially for senior players. So, I set a target for each player if they want to stay at Pelatnas," Eng stated.

Four women's doubles pairs from Pelatnas will fight in the main round of the BIOSSP 2017. Della Destiara Haris / Rosyita Eka Putri Sari now have the highest rank among his colleague; world's top 15. In the second round, Della / Rosyita will likely meet the sixth-seeded Chinese pair, Luo Ying / Luo Yu.

Anggia Shitta Awanda / Ni Ketut Mahadewi Istarani also have a chance to meet a top seeded pair, of Jung Kyung Eun / Shin Seung Chan from Korea. As with the Greysia Polii / Apriani Rahayu pair, if they pass the first round, they will face the third seed from Korea, Chang Ye Na / Lee So Hee.

Rizki Amelia Pradipta / Tiara Rosalia Nuraidah will have to face the Thailand's women's doubles mainstay, Puttita Supajirakul / Sapsiree Taerattanachai.

Three senior pairs will take on world's best pairs in the first and the second round.  Meanwhile, one pair will take on Thailand's best women's doubles in the first round, I will see whether they can go through those rounds," Eng said.

Meanwhile, the Pelatnas' women's doubles squad will pour the qualifying. They are Agatha Imanuela/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti, Ribka Sugiarto/Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma, Yulfira Barkah/Meirisa Cindy Sahputri, Ramadhani Hastiyanti Putri/Vania Arianti Sukoco, Tania Oktaviani Kusumah/Nisak Puji Lestari, Pitha Haningtyas Mentari/Virni Putri and Serena Kani/Jauza Fadhila Sugiarto.
