Chong Wei: I Will Be Back Next Year

Malaysia's best men's singles player, Lee Chong Wei, failed to win his seventh title at BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2017. The 34-year-old failed to continue his journey at the BIO this year after in the second round on Thursday afternoon (15/6) he was surrender to an Indian player, Prannoy HS, 10-21 and 18-21.

Lee who succeed in winning titles at the Indonesia Open 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013, and 2016 said he had tried to play the best he could.

"I've tried to do my best but my opponent was better and only made few mistakes in that match, and I have to accept this defeat," Lee said.

With this defeat, Lee also hopes he can perform again at the 2018 Indonesia Open.

"I hope I will be back next year and achieve better results," said Lee.

With this result, the remaining men's singles top seeds are Son Wan Hoo (Korea) who just secured a victory over Chinese representative Zhao Junpeng.
