There is a funny story when Indonesian women's doubles pair, Anggia Shitta Awanda/Ni Ketut Mahadewi Istarani, played their second round match at the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier 2017 on Friday, (16/6).

Taking on the fourth seeded from Korea, Jung Kyung Eung/Shin Seung Chan, they played aggressively despite Ketut's drowsiness before they thrilled their opponents and secured a victory by beating the fourth seeded in a fierce three game match 21-15, 12-21 and 21-15.

"Actually, I was a little bit sleepy in the match since I do not usually perform and stay awake at this hour. I go to bed at 10. But I tried to fight the drowsiness and finally managed to win," Said Ketut with his sleepy face.

Meanwhile, Anggia claimed to enjoy the game.

"It was a great game, the second game we lost by the wind and we were in a rush and making blunders, so we lost it," said Anggia.

In the quarter-final this afternoon, Friday (16/6) Anggia/Ketut, will meet Thailand's pair, Puttita Supajirakul/Sapsiree Terattanachai. In the previous meeting, Anggia/Ketut was defeated by the Thailand's number one pair in Singapore Open 2017.

"The intention to revenge is there, we just do not want to lose," Ketut concluded.
