Marin Desperately Wants to be a Champion at Senayan

JAKARTA - Spanish badminton player Carolina Marin wants to be the champion at Senayan badly. At the BCA Indonesia Open Superseries Premier (BIOSSP) 2016, she smoothly steps on to semifinal after defeating Indian Saina Nehwal, 24-22, 21-11.

Although desperately wanting to be the champion, she refuses to speculate, instead, she just wants to perform the best she can in every match ahead.

"Every opponent is the same. They are all equally good. I don't want to make guesses," Marin said.

So did she say when asked about her chance to win the be the champion for the first time at the BIOSSP. She only replied she wanted to fight until the end.

"I want to take a rest now. I will evaluate my performance today with the coach and discuss a strategy for tomorrow," she added.

At the BIOSSP 2016, Marin becomes the #1 seed. The 26 year old player who once practiced in Cipayung always had two set matches at this tournament.

Starting from facing Indonesian player, Hera Desi, in the first round, Akane Yamaguchi in the second round, and Nehwal in the quarter final where she attained her ticket to semifinal.
