The Superseries this time is their fourth in 2016. Previously, they won three titles in India, England, and Malaysia. Meanwhile, they also won the Asian Championship.
To Misaki/Ayaka, becoming the champion in Indonesia for the first time makes them pleased. Since the beginning of the tournaments they had, they were often halted in early rounds. BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2016 is the first one for them to be able to reach semifinal, final, to win.
“I am so happy to win here. Because we could only reach the last eight. And only this year can we reach semifinal, final and win. Thanks to Indonesian supporters who have been supporting me," Misaki said after the match.
“In Malaysia, we defeated them, [they were] not this tough. There was a court factor in the second game, we couldn't control the ball and make us left behind significantly. In the third game, we got an instruction from the coach to strengthen our winner mentality, and we finally made it to become the champions," Ayaka added after the match.
