She explained she got her citizenship nearly 3 years ago. There have been many reasons that made him move to Australia, one of them is family.
"Actually, I really like Indonesia, but but there is one or two things made me consider moving to Australia, one of them is family who mostly reside there," Setyana said at the Australian Embassy, Thursday (26/5).
The Indonesia Open is practically an emotional event for the Manadonese. She was once playing alongside Rosyita Eka Putri Sari in women's singles.
However, the last three years she was hardly seen in badminton. About a year ago she moved to Australia and decided to resume her badminton career there.
"I was asked to join by a coach," she said.
Indonesia Open Superseries Premier will be her premiere in which she will face her former compatriots. It is not impossible she will take on Rosyita, a player whose playing characteristic is not unfamiliar to Setyana.
He addressed Indonesia is a country with a massive number of badminton talents like Greysia Polii, one of the most anticipated player especially when performing at home.
Although they two have never met, Greysia's world class reputation has already made Setyana nervous although she is certain she can give fierce resistance.
"Not really that dramatic, although it is emotional too. I have not fought against her (Greysia) and I do not know how to take on her. I often watch her matches, and she is really good," she said.
