The match was hard fought in the first set where both players were stubbornly struggling, and long rallies were dominating the first set before Minatsu took a lead 21-18.
“The first game I enjoyed my performance since having many chances to offend," Firdasari stated.
In the second game, Firdasari level of stamina was dropping as it were leaking badly. She seemed unable to handle Minatsu's long rallies. Firda surrendered in the second set, 21-15 for Minatsu.
”In the second game I was overwhelmed by rallies and made my own mistakes," she added.
With this result, Firda sorries with the result while she had expected to qualify for the second round.
“Im a bit unhappy with this result because I aimed at going through the first round. I will do my best in the next tournament however," Firdasari stated.
Meanwhile, Indonesia sends two players to women's singles category at BCA Indonesia Open Super Series Premier 2015.
They are Lindaweni Fanetri who secured a victory over Michelle Li (Cananda) this afternoon in a two set game, 21-17 and 21-11 , and also Maria Febe Kusumawati who has just booked a ticket to the next round after stunning compatriot Ruselli Hartawan in a two straight set, 21-19 and 21-14.
